Hi! My name is Melissa and I am a Kinesiologist, a complementary health therapist.

I have had a long time interest in alternative and complementary medicine, developed from experience with personal health issues as well as that of family and friends. Through this interest and study I began to understand that the body has an innate healing energy, intelligence and will to be healthy and fully alive. Illness, distress and dis-ease in any state, is a deviation of this due to underlying stress and imbalances within us. But as most of these stressors are within us or within our control, we all have the capacity and power to achieve our full potential. Kinesiology is a holistic modality which assists and facilitates this empowerment and the balance of the mind, body and spirit.

Kinesiology essentially uses muscle testing to analyse the connection between your brain and your muscles to find and identify stress and imbalances. Stress being chemical, dietary, structural, behavioural, emotional, trauma based or anything that moves us away from a balanced position. Once these are identified, techniques such as acupressure, and many other modalities from western and traditional Chinese medicine, are used to bring the mind, body and spirit back into balance again. As Kinesiology is concerned with fundamental and underlying balance it can be used to help facilitate health and well-being in virtually any situation. Not just limited to ailments, but can also help in achieving life goals, such as relationships, sports, learning and general wellbeing.
