About Nin Yoga

Established in 2017, Nin Yoga has (and continues to be) one of the most recommended and loved yoga studios and community in Western Sydney. • Learning Transitions within a Vinyasa Flow without getting flustered

  • Alignment and Safety in some of the foundational Yoga Poses found in a Vinyasa Class, as well as when to add props

How can we help you?

Even though all of our open level yoga classes are beginner friendly at our studio, we also understand the importance of repetition and consistency.

Because of this, we have put together a 4 week beginner yoga course, specifically curated with those keen to refine their Vinyasa practice, or those who have never done any yoga ever!

Why start Yoga?

There is a reason why Yoga has been around and stuck around for thousands of years. If you can consistently join the weekly class, as well as start your own yoga practice at home, you may start to notice:

  • Improved mood: Regular exercise and yoga can stimulate the release of endorphins, chemicals in the brain that promote happiness and reduce stress and anxiety.
  • Increased energy levels: Engaging in physical activity can boost your overall energy levels and reduce feelings of fatigue (so less brain fuzz!)
  • Better sleep: Exercise and yoga can help regulate your sleep patterns, leading to more restful and refreshing sleep.
  • Enhanced flexibility and balance: Yoga, in particular, can improve your flexibility and balance over time, reducing the risk of injuries and improving posture. This also means less sore back, hips, shoulders neck, just all the things we can get doing repetitive tasks at work.
  • Strengthened muscles and bones: With regular exercise, you'll notice increased muscle strength and even improvements in your own bone density.
  • Weight management: If combined with a balanced diet, regular exercise can contribute to weight loss or weight maintenance, leading to better overall health so we can be here longer in this wonderful thing called life.
  • Improved cardiovascular health: Exercise can strengthen your heart and improve blood circulation, reducing the risk of heart-related diseases. Bring on those stairs!
  • Lower blood pressure: Regular physical activity can lead to a reduction in blood pressure, promoting better heart health.
  • Enhanced focus and brain function: science has linked Exercise to improved cognitive abilities and increased focus and concentration. Something alot of us need in these days of information overload.
  • Stress reduction: Both exercise and yoga can help alleviate stress and promote a sense of relaxation.
  • Boosted immune system: Regular physical activity can enhance the immune system, making your body more resilient to infections and illnesses.
  • Finding community: A personal favourite is of course the fact that going to a class, in a studio, with other adults, creates somethings very special indeed. This is connection via new friendships, as well as a safe space withing our walls, to just be as you are, with nothing to do and no where to be (and no one needing anything from you, at least for 60 mins!)

What will we be learning?

Each  class will go for 90 mins, introducing subjects and discussing topics such as:

Our Sankalpa to you

Sankalpa is a Sanskrit word (ancient language often used in yoga) meaning "intention". Sort of like a spiritual promise, we would love to make a Sankalpa to you.

This course was put together to give YOU the tools to continue to practice in your own time, as well as feel confident to join other group yoga classes. You will receive access to videos after class, as well as have the option to join an Online Community to stay supported and ask any further questions to the group if you wish.

Meet Your Teachers:

Annika Saigi

Annika Saigi is the founder of Nin Yoga and has been practicing yoga for almost a decade. Her journey started in India, having competed her first 500 hours of Teacher Training in Hatha in the birthplace of Yoga, and was then inspired to return back to Western Sydney to then open these studios in 2017.

2018 she completed another 200 hours of Vinyasa Yoga Training, as well as continuing on to do 150 hours in Yin Yoga, 100 Hours in Adjustments, 50 Hours in Sequencing, as well as currently in the middle of training 50 hours in Pre/Post Natal Yoga.

Other than teaching over 3000 hours in Yoga and Meditation classes over these years and teaching in the studios own Yoga Teacher Training, she is also passionate about building this community, supporting local artists, and spending time with her family, 4 year old Maya, and Nara, who just arrived earth side late 2022.

Annikas classes are insightful, engaging, and sometimes challenging (but in the fun way!).

She looks forward in spending 4 weeks with you sharing all she can squeeze into the course.

Mihaela Zotta

Mihaela believes in the serendipitous moments that reveal themselves when we least expect appropriately at the right time.

Yoga came into her life when she needed something extraordinary to happen, and ironically, something incredibly human.

To me yoga is like coming home. Arriving into a place of warmth, nurture, and safety.

Her struggle with high anxiety is long standing and the techniques she has learned through herpractice (and continue to learn as a forever student) have not only reminded her how to breathe, to move, to think... but above all, allowed her to flourish.

She loves teaching a warm and nourishing flow (body and mind) and wish to create the same experience on the mat where you too… can become more of you.
