Timetable Prices Beginner Course Teacher Training Online 30 DAYS for $69 Online Platform

and some chubby cheeks

Hayyyyyyy,

It's been a week now since we merged our studios and schedules together, and things are looking promising. It's like the beams were meant to be in there this whole time

We have simplified our pricing to $33 a week for x2 yoga classes a week or $44 to have unlimited access to all of our classes, which now means a lot of our members now have the opportunity to try our specialty classes when they couldn't before.

So let's take this opportunity to explain them a little bit further to you!

Here is a list of our weekly offerings:

Yoga

This is our bread and butter. Where we started and where we plan to always return back to the teachings of. We offer Vinyasa (flow), Yin (Passive), and Yin Yang (flow and passive in one). Most of our classes are Yoga, and all of our classes are beginner friendly.

Pilates

Our Pilates classes are 45 minutes and focus on lengthening and strengthening your muscles (mainly the core, but others definitely get involved too). It's low...

In case you are curious

Welcome to August!

The first thing that came to my head?

A pinch and a punch for the first day of the month NO RETURNS!

Can you believe that this is still winter? I got a suntan over the weekend in my backyard. Shell pool out and Miss 4 years old had her bath out in the sun.

Amongst the pool parties however, we have been busy beavers with a handful of changes at the studios the last week. If you are curious about our updates, here are some below...

Website: We have merged our main website to be on the same platform as our online platform (there are still some glitches to fix but it's mostly done!). This means easier access to all the Nin Yoga things, as well as an opportunity for us to create more online courses. We just offered a Free Vinyasa Krama course, we will also start creating a 4-week online beginner yoga course soon, and our Yoga Teacher Training will have a bunch of resources to reference on there too.

Timetables: We also merged...

Best of all, it costs nothing :)

Hey There,

Curious as to why yoga teachers put asanas (yoga poses) in a particular order during a Vinyasa Class?

It's all about the Vinyasa Krama Baby!

Vinyasa is one of the most popular styles of Yoga in Australia. If you have been to a class that links movement with breath in a sequence, it was most prob a Vinyasa class.

The word Vinyasa can be broken down into "vi", which means "a special way" and "nyasa", which means to step or to place. "Krama" then means a sequence or progression.

No matter how we would like to think about it, in reality, the only constant in this life is change. This is represented beautifully in Vinyasa, as we practice a sequence of continuous asanas, from start to finish, with every single movement we do in the flow of postures linked to an inhale or an exhale, aligned with the intention to continue to progress forward.

Well, we have a FREE (Yes, free) mini-course on just this subject.

Hey There,

As I write this, I have a belly fully of 2 minute chicken soup and a mug of exceptionally strong ginger tea.

I've been feeling a bit off since before our first retreat. It actually got to the point where we had organized back up teachers the day before, but with shear will power, I told my congestion and lingering cough to just give me the weekend, and we can have our time together later. Thankyou universe for granting me my wish.

On my return however, it returned also, and here I am writing this newsletter feeling a bit like poop. I couldn't go do reception (honestly one of my favorite jobs in the yoga studio) and I couldn't teach on our Yoga Teacher Training over the weekend (thankyou Suzie Q for covering me for transitions and pranayama!).

We also have three other fabulous teachers who are feeling down in the dumps also, and a whole lot of students needing some time off from in person...

Hey Hey,

We have been dwelling a lot lately on the why.

I spent the last few years with a lot of busy work. Working IN these beautiful studios rather than ON them.

That busy work carried these studios through some tough times, and I am exceptionally thankful for all the lessons that have been learnt along the way, but I know in my belly there is room for more growth.

Growth in education, growth in community, and growth in our relationship with Western Sydney and beyond.

Other than hosting our first retreat only last Sunday, we also hosted the sacred gathering of indigenous elders last Thursday, who shared their stories, the good times, the struggles, and how we can all continue to move forward with love and respect.

On the weekend a bunch of us yoga and wellness teacher met together at the Penrith studio to share our stories of business, our why, and our dreams moving forward.

During this event,...

What Does "Nin" Even Mean?

Uncategorized Jul 07, 2023

As we come up to our 2nd Birthday and our 3rd studio, we thought it might be nice to share a small snippet of our story.

After completing my 2nd round of teacher training in Rishikesh, India, I started to host some community yoga classes at Colyton neighbourhood Centre every Wednesday. I remember Aaron and I getting there mega early to turn that community centre into a yoga studio. Putting a table cloth on the folding tables, several selections of teas, cups, candles, incense, heaters, cushions, straps, yoga mats, all that jazz.

We did this every Wednesday for a couple of months. The community started to grow and we started to put on more classes, but the pack up and down was a lot of work, sooooooo we started to have a look around and found the St Marys Studio! It was perfect.

Finally, I had a place to channel my creative energy. I decorated the space with everything from our travels, and we were ready to roll.

Even though the lease is in my name, Nin Yoga was definitely a...

My Name Is Paige, I Am A Yoga Teacher, And I Struggle With Anxiety.

Uncategorized Jul 07, 2023

Am I flexible enough? Am I fit enough? Do I look dumb? Is everyone else struggling this much? Is my breathing too loud? How is the teacher even smiling right now... is this supposed to be easy? Clear my mind? What does that even mean?

Do these thoughts sounds familiar? They are for me. In fact I had thoughts like this almost every minute of every day, not just on my mat.

My name is Paige, I am a Yoga Teacher, and I also struggle with Anxiety.

This is defined as "a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome." And boy did I worry, about everything... ALL the time!

Many of us suffer from anxiety, sometimes without ever really knowing why we feel this way.

If the thoughts in your head; the self talk, is constantly causing you to plan, worry and not be in the present moment, then you may too have a little anxiety monster...

What Is Naturopathy? And How Can It Support A Yogi Like Me?

Uncategorized Jul 07, 2023

Naturopathy is an alternative medical system that appreciates the mind, body and spirit. It considers treating the whole person based on their constitution, emotions, experiences, environment, diet and physical symptoms of dis-ease.

Naturopaths have insightful understanding about how to put pieces of the puzzle together to unearth the root cause of dysfunction and look to treat that. It is not about suppressing a cough, but rather soothing the throat and removing what was irritating the lungs in the first place. It is not about numbing pain or masking inflammation, but instead finding what caused it, why it persists and how to resolve the problem to prevent it from coming back. It is an age-old healing practice that nurtures and nourishes the body.

Naturopathy respect to the innate and intelligent healing capability of the body, and merely seeks to facilitate the work of the vital force, prana or qi to restore natural balance, function and energy. Yogis specifically find that this...

Doing The Thing - The Nin And Maya Podcast

Uncategorized Jul 07, 2023

See below the transcript from the first episode of our Podcast.

You can listen to this episode on Spotify at HERE.

Hello and welcome to episode one of this podcast. I am your host, Annika Saigi, and I thought today for the first episode, we can do a quick intro as well as answer a question I get asked quite often, how do I do it? And maybe if you listen till the end, I'll make a big announcement that's sort of buzzing over on social media as well.

Okay, so who do I identify as? I'm 31-years-old. I identify as a mother to Maya, who is two-years-old. My mother is an immigrant from Thailand and my father is an immigrant from Hungary. I was born in Melbourne, then moved to Sydney at an early age... and Sydney as in Western Sydney. So the three yoga studios at the moment are located in St. Marys, Blacktown and Mount Druitt. I have lived in all three of these suburbs.

When I was in school, I always thought I would leave Western Sydney and go live overseas and do all of those wild things....
