aerial reading lounge?
Libraries were always a sanctuary for me as a kid.
I have so many fond memories within the walls of these spaces: the rainy lunches I spent sheltered amongst the shelves; the hours my mum and I browsed side-by-side. There was something about visiting a new town and a new selection of (sometimes pretty dusty) books that always felt so special.
But it wasn't just the books, the worlds hidden between the pages, that made it special.
It was about the quiet sense of community.
The gentle hush of a space created for people to come together without needing to speak. A place so peaceful and silent, yet humming with the sound of other people doing their own thing. There's a beautiful duality in this, a sense of community that doesn't require conversation.
We're hoping that Nin Yoga's new Aerial Reading Lounge captures that exact feeling
For two blissful hours, we're turning the St Marys studio into a quiet sanctuary for reading and resting. Suspend yourself in the gentle support of our aerial slings, or make yourself cosy on the floor with a bolster fort—we've got the props and the space for you to float away into your book world.
As always, we'll also have unlimited tea, snacks, and space to chat in the reception area.
Aerial Reading Lounge:

Reading in a sling? Yes pleaseeeee!
To me, this feels like the perfect blend of solitude and community. I love the idea of sharing physical space and collective presence, while each on our own, private reading journey. My journey, in case you're wondering, will totally involve dragons.
With love,
Sitting here with some of my all time favourite books, I can confirm that the slings are a super comfy place to read, but if thats not your jam, bolsters on the floor are an option also!
