your update

We have a bit happening at Nin Yoga over the next few months, so I thought I'd pop everything into one email for you.

Workshops, books, art, teacher trainings, and a whole lot of community things happening behind the scenes.

But first, a little update!

A little not-for-profit update

We are officially knee-deep in establishing the foundations of Nin Yoga as a not-for-profit!

We now have a board of 10 people helping with governance, plus 14 Energy Exchange students who volunteer an hour each week helping at the studio in exchange for a half-price membership.

We've also had people from the community emailing us with ideas for workshops, fundraising, events and all sorts of ways to get involved.

And we are SOOOOOO keen to get stuck into it all.

But like all things, we can't say yes to everything (as much as I'd love to!).

Our team is still finding their feet, and I'm still adjusting to this whole new shift in how Nin Yoga operates.

There's a lot happening behind the scenes that you probably don't see, and a lot that we're all figuring out as we go.

But the future is looking sunny, and we have you to thank for it.

Now, onto what's coming up!

ART EXHIBITION | Threads of Being

Saturday 17th October 2026
3pm – 8pm
Nin Yoga Penrith

THIS SATURDAY!

We're bringing together a whole bunch of local artists, musicians, poets and performers for an afternoon and evening of art, music, conversation and community.

There'll be original artwork to browse and purchase, live performances, nibbles, bottomless herbal tea and plenty of opportunities to meet the people behind the work.

And 100% of artwork sales go directly to the artists!

This is one of my favourite things we do at Nin Yoga, because it's a reminder that community doesn't always have to revolve around yoga.

Come hang out with us!

INVERSION FOUNDATIONS WITH LAURA KERNAHAN

Starts Saturday 31st October
11am – 1pm
Every Saturday for 4 weeks

Ever wanted to get upside down but had absolutely no idea where to start?

Laura is back with her four-week Inversion Foundations series.

We'll be exploring the foundations of inversions, building strength, understanding alignment, and developing confidence with getting upside down.

You don't need to already be able to do inversions. That's literally why we're running the workshop!

Use code UPSIDEDOWN10 for 10% off the pay-in-full or payment plan option.

RESTORATIVE YOGA WITH ANNIKA

Friday 6th November
7pm – 8:30pm

An evening of doing very, very little.

Restorative yoga is a practice of complete support. Think bolsters, blankets, cushions, and long-held resting shapes that don't require you to stretch, push or achieve anything.

A lovely way to finish the working week, especially as we head into the busier end of the year.

Open to everyone, including those who have never practised yoga before.

COMMUNITY BOOK CLUB | The Midnight Library

Sunday 15th November
2:30pm – 4pm
Hosted by Samantha Roberts

Our next book club read is The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.

The story follows Nora Seed, who finds herself in a mysterious library between life and death, where every book offers her the chance to experience a different version of her life based on the choices she could have made.

It's a story about regret, possibility, the lives we imagine for ourselves, and what it actually means to live a fulfilling life.

And probably a good one for some interesting conversations!

$10 to attend, or completely free for Nin Yoga members.

You don't need to have finished the book to join us either.
