Some are physically more demanding, others more a mental challenge.
-

Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa is a yoga practice which uses the breath to link movements into a continuous and mindful movement flow.
Vinyasa derives from nyasa, meaning “to place,” and vi, meaning “in a special way.”
These classes are, therefore, carefully and creatively sequenced to include a balanced series of postures that build strength, flexibility, and concentration, both physically and mentally, to cultivate a sense of deep inner calm.
This class is beginner-friendly, with lots of modifications available.
-

Gentle Vinyasa Yoga
Our Gentle Vinyasa classes are for everybody. Vinyasa uses the breath to link movements but this practice allows some time within the poses also.
These classes are therefore carefully sequenced to keep the class interesting yet achievable while still building strength, flexibility, and concentration, in mind and body all while cultivating a sense of deep inner calm.
This class is beginner-friendly, with lots of props modifications available.
-

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a style that moves at a slow and steady pace to develop conscious awareness.
It focuses on poses that target the connective tissues of the hips, thighs, pelvis and lower spine. Poses are then held for longer periods of time to help encourage the muscles to lengthen and open.
Yin Yoga is perfect for students wanting to bring a more meditative and introspective aspect to their yoga practise, and is great for all levels, with lots of modifications available.
-

Yin Yang Yoga
Yin Yang Yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice - bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses (Yin) with more dynamic sequences and standing postures (Yang).
This class is appropriate for all levels, but prepare to break a sweat at some point and then rewarded with some restorative and nourishing postures to finish finish it of.
The best of both worlds, this class is suitable for all levels, including beginners.
-

Reformer Pilates
Many exercises on a reformer machine are simply mat Pilates exercises that use the machine and its springs to either make the exercise more challenging or more supportive.
This is the beauty of the reformer – it can help intensify exercises (by increasing resistance), but it can also ease exercises (by providing support through resistance).
Reformer machinesoffer so many options, and alternatives to exercises that a mat simply wouldn’t allow.
At Nin Yoga, our Reformer Pilates classes are yoga-informed. This means that all of our pilates teachers are, first and foremost, yoga teachers.
-

Pilates Mat
Focusing on form and breath, Pilates classes are designed to support alignment, mobility and stability.
Often using props like balls, bands, rings and weights, these classes will help you to lengthen and strengthen your entire body, with a focus on the layers of your core muscles, as well as the pelvic floor.
You will leave class standing taller with more awareness of your posture.
-
